If you are on any prescription medication then you will have to be even more cautious when it comes to taking unregulated dietary supplements as many of them can cause harmful effects when mixed with your medications.

Another downfall of taking diet pills is that many of them have been linked to heart problems. When something causes you to experience an increased metabolism, it only makes sense that this same product would cause certain changes to your cardiovascular system. The question that you will want the answer to is “In what ways and to what extent will these changes take place?” However, with no regulatory system in charge of the production and distribution of these diet pills, these are questions which may remain unanswered.

Keep in mind that many of these diet pills can lead to addiction. Since they are offered over the counter , you will have to make sure that you are highly self disciplined when it comes to taking them. You will have to regulate your usage to make sure that you do not fall victim to their addictiveness. This can be harder than you may think. When you begin taking something with the expectations of losing weight, the more that you actually see results the more that you will want to continue taking them.
