Let’s review why nutrition is the fundamental to physical performance. Below I will outline to you how a healthy and nutritious diet is related to exercise and how combining both means that you will be able to more effectively lose weight.

Protein helps with muscle building and regeneration- A healthy and nutritious diet is one that is high in protein. Protein is important because it helps with muscle growth and regeneration. This is important because it helps ensure that you don’t get injured after exercise. A high protein diet can also help build your muscles and if you increase your muscle mass then you can actually lose weight faster.

Carbohydrates help increase energy- Carbohydrates are also important for health and nutrition. Carbohydrates increase your energy production, which means that you can do cardiovascular exercise for longer. If you can do cardiovascular exercise for longer then you will get fitter faster. This can only be good for your health.

Exercise helps burn calories- The basic premise of exercise and losing weight is to make sure that you burn more calories in your day than you ingest each day. Exercise is important because it is through exercise that you burn more calories and hence lose weight. You need to lift weights and do cardiovascular exercise routines as part of your weekly exercise.

The purpose of this article was to show you how health and nutrition are related to exercise. You need to burn more calories than you eat but you also need a healthy diet to give you the energy you need and also to ensure that your muscles grow and you do not get injured. Nutrition is all you’ll ever need to get the body you want.

Flexibility In Dieting

Talk to most people about dieting, and they mention words like “sacrifice”, “pain”, “self-control”, “strict”, and other words that are synonymous with deprivation.

But dieting should not be all doom and gloom. Otherwise, you are setting yourself up for failure.

Some dieters think that they need to be strict 24/7, that they can never eat cheat foods, or that they can never miss a workout. Dieting is already stressful on its own, so if you add perfectionism to the mix, you will end up going back to the habits that got you fat in the first place.

As a result, we should carefully consider the issue of diet flexibility. Don’t get me wrong: by flexible I don’t mean that you can eat whatever you want! Don’t start eating dozens of donuts, honey buns, and other junk foods, while singing hymns to the joys of flexible dieting!

Dieting is still dieting. Elements of self-control and sacrifice are always present when dieting. But these periods of temperance should be followed by periods of flexibility, where you take a break from your diet, and celebrate the pleasure of eating food.

Flexibility in dieting can be implemented in many ways. For example, you could have a cheat meal once a week. In fact, you could have an entire cheat day if you so desire, where you eat more liberally and take a break from exercising.

I recommend, however, that you don’t go overboard on cheat days. Be more open in your food choices than during your regular days, but don’t eat everything that you see, because this might take you back to bad eating habits.

The purpose of cheat days is not to eat huge quantities of junk food, but rather to take a psychological break from the grind of dieting. By doing this, you will recover your energy, and you will continue your diet with more passion and zest than before.

If you don’t have a cheat day, however, you risk losing all the motivation that you had at the beginning of your diet. Day after day of dieting, hunger, and self-control can take a big toll on the human mind.

In fact, some scientists and philosophers have suggested that willpower is like a battery: if you use it all up, and don’t recharge, you won’t be able to fight temptation.

So it is necessary to have days where you give your willpower a break. When you do this, you are not being weak, but rather you are allowing yourself to recover your strength from the hard work you did over the last six days.

Apart from cheat days, you can also have cheat weeks. As with cheat days, be careful that you don’t engorge yourself during cheat weeks, or you will undo your previous efforts.

But if you do them properly, cheat weeks can be of immense help to your fat loss aspirations. You will be restoring your mental strength, your metabolism, and you will probably feel more energetic than before when you were dieting. With this renewed enthusiasm, you can tackle another cycle of dieting and fat loss.

In summary, always remember to alternate periods of rigid dieting with flexible dieting. Don’t be dieting strictly all the time without taking any breaks, because sooner or later you will take a break, and you won’t like it!

The human mind and body were not made for 24/7, 365 days a year dieting. Give yourself the break you deserve, and you will see greater success with your fat loss efforts.

Diet Pills: Are they Worth it?

When you start out on a weight loss journey you will want to make sure that you don’t make the same mistakes that so many out there do. Many people decide that it is time for them to get in shape and they turn to diet pills and weight loss supplements. They disregard the fact that the best way to lose weight and get in shape has always been, and will always be to eat healthy foods and exercise. While it may be possible to speed up your weight loss with the help of supplements, there is no replacement for good old fashioned proper eating and exercise.

There are some diet pills which can assist you in achieving slightly faster results, but they should be used in conjunction to a healthy lifestyle change of added exercise and better eating habits. Before you decide on which diet pills to take, you will want to take the time to research the benefits and the health risks that can be contributed to those specific diet pills. Also, before you begin taking diet pills, you will want to consider some of the following things.

Most of the diet pills for sale are not regulated or approved by the FDA. This means that you will be taking them at your own risk and you can’t take them with the assurance that they have been proven to be safe to your health. If you are on any prescription medication then you will have to be even more cautious when it comes to taking unregulated dietary supplements as many of them can cause harmful effects when mixed with your medications.

Another downfall of taking diet pills is that many of them have been linked to heart problems. When something causes you to experience an increased metabolism, it only makes sense that this same product would cause certain changes to your cardiovascular system. The question that you will want the answer to is “In what ways and to what extent will these changes take place?” However, with no regulatory system in charge of the production and distribution of these diet pills, these are questions which may remain unanswered.

Keep in mind that many of these diet pills can lead to addiction. Since they are offered over the counter , you will have to make sure that you are highly self disciplined when it comes to taking them. You will have to regulate your usage to make sure that you do not fall victim to their addictiveness. This can be harder than you may think. When you begin taking something with the expectations of losing weight, the more that you actually see results the more that you will want to continue taking them.

Hoodia, Alli, and Phentermine: What you Should Know

A common mistake that many people make is to put all of their faith in a diet pill. They take diet pills as a way to lose weight. Not doing much else to help achieve their weight loss, they put way too much faith into a pill. These diet pills are nothing more than a supplement. Some of them can actually help your weight loss, but none of them can do the entire job for you. You will still need to eat right and exercise to see the results that you want and maintain your health.

There are hundreds of diet pills on the market today and this makes it very confusing for those trying to  decide on which diet pill to try. If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of diet pills on the market, here is an overview on a few of the most popular ones out there:

Hoodia: This is a cactus which grows in the African Desert and has been used for generations as an appetite suppressant by the Natives before they went off on long hunts, this way they wouldn’t have to worry about going hungry while they were out. There is very little that is known about the actual weight loss results from taking Hoodia, as well as possible side effects. There has been one study conducted which has raised questions on the possibility of Hoodia being dangerous to the hunger promoting part of the brain.

Alli: This is actually a version of a prescription obesity medication called Orlistat Xenical. By reducing the amount of fat that is absorbed into your body via your intestines, Alli offers its takers weight loss results. You are directed to take Alli three times a day with your meals. Meals should contain less than 15 grams of fat. Consuming meals which contain more than 15 grams of fat can lead to minor side effects such as diarrhea and a change in your bowel movements.

Phentermine: This is a pill which can be prescribed to you by your physician as an appetite suppressant.
It is suggested that it be taken by those that are considered to be in the obese range, not just slightly overweight. While many people do generally see results by using this diet supplement, those that lose will generally gain the weight back. Some of the side effects that can be attributed to taking Phentermine are high blood pressure, constipation, insomnia, constipation, blurry vision, and dry mouth.  People with certain medical conditions will want to stay away from taking this diet supplement.

Over the Counter Diet Pills Examined

When you set out on your weight loss journey you can find yourself feeling overwhelmed and confused. You will hear about all of the wonderful results that others are seeing with the help of over the counter diet pills. Each pill makes promises of success and unbelievable results. Before you decide to start taking any over the counter diet pill you will want to make sure that you educate yourself on any side effects that may be associated with the diet pills that you are considering.

You need to keep in mind that no matter which diet pills you choose to use you will still need to watch what you eat and begin an exercise routine to optimize your weight loss. Diet pills are there to help you to achieve your weight loss goal and should only be used as a supplement. Here is some information on some of the more popular diet pills:

Epherda: This is probably the most recognized diet pill names that has been on the market. Many of people turned to Ephedra as a diet pill to help them achieve weight loss until it made headlines with its many side effects. Some of which include high blood pressure, insomnia, strokes, seizures, and even death. These side effects have led to Ephedra being pulled off the shelves. If you want to use this potentially harmful diet aid you will have to turn to the Internet or drink it in tea form.

Chitosan: Although Chitosan is considered to be a weight loss supplement because it has been touted as blocking the absorption of fat by your body, the truth is that few people have actually noticed any real weight loss results due to taking this supplement. So far most of the actual side effects caused by Chitosan appear to be more of an inconvenience than those which would cause long term health problems. These are things like diarrhea, constipation, and bloating.

CLA: This is one of the all promising diet pills out right now. It promises to help you control your appetite while reducing fat and building muscle. Apparently, if you take this dietary supplement you can achieve a washboard stomach. The side effects are minimal, consisting of relatively minor problems such as, indigestion and diarrhea.

Country Mallow: Here is a diet supplement that promises that it will provide the takers of it with a decreased appetite and an increased metabolism. This sounds like a great thing and like the perfect supplement for those trying to achieve weight loss. However, what isn’t generally mentioned is the fact that it contains Ephedra. This means that it also has those potentially life threatening side effects that has been linked to taking Ephedra.

When you are trying to lose weight it’s important that you remember that the ultimate goal should be to become a healthier person. Whit this in mind you want to be sure that you are not trying to achieve faster weight loss results with the help of something which will cost you your health.
